OWNI’s are helping people digitise, audit & organise their stuff, making it easier to reuse & resell what they already own.
With their innovative digital wardrobe, OWNI are encouraging a new way of approaching sustainable fashion. By creating a digital replica of your closet, it becomes far easier to keep track of your belongings, and sell and swap for new items.
We worked with OWNI to craft them a new disruptor brand, capturing their modern take on second-hand fashion. With the logo set to stay, we worked around it to design expressive assets that excite and inspire millenials to be more sustainable.
Doing things differently - a brand to inspire and engage
The colour palette needed to be bright and expressive, so we used a few complimentary shades, next to pure white and black. High contrast was key here, so the brightness of the colours paired with pure white felt clean and bold.
Whilst a modern flair was imperative, the brand also needed to be accessible. We chose Manrope, an ultra-accessible typeface with clean lines and friendly curves, and set up a clear hierarchy, making use of the different fonts for emphasis.
Manrope also sat nicely next to the more traditional logo, so we created a branded tag to work with the new branding.
Looking through to a new world of sustainable fashion
The main assets were a set of abstract shapes, made from overlaying various ovals. The brightness of the colours paired with the clean curves create a really bold look, whilst staying fluid and abstract.
Used as a cut-out, the shapes feel more like a window, allowing the users to look into a new world. This can be done for text and imagery, and continue the modern feel.
To minimise visual clutter, the supporting information (including the branded tag) is placed around the boundary edges. This structure compliments the abstract shapes nicely, and keeps the layouts feeling fresh and clean.
